Footwear for all the Family - Wilderness NZ

It can often be hard to find good outdoor footwear for your kids at an affordable price – who wants to shell out hundreds of dollars on a pair of boots that will likely see just two years’ use?

US-based Northside has just entered the New Zealand market and plans to bring its budget-saving boots and sandals to consumers this summer.

The Northside range available here includes kids and adults insulated winter boots, hiking boots and shoes, water shoes and sport sandals.

The waterproof Snohomish hiking boot comes in sizes for kids and adults.

The hiking boots in the range top out at $199.99 for the Apex Mid Waterproof – a full leather boot with a waterproof/breathable lining. Next most expensive is the Snohomish which comes in men’s women’s and kids and retails for a paltry $149.99 for adults and $129.99 for kids.

This boot features a waterproof suede and mesh upper, moisture-wicking lining, gusseted tongue, toe guard, heel stabiliser, EVA insole and multi-directional rubber outsole.

The Burke II sandal costs just $89.99 for adults and the kid’s version $69.99.

The most expensive sandal in the range is the Burke II which retails for $89.99 for adults and $69.99 for kids. It’s Northside’s best-selling closed-toe water sandal and comes with a synthetic upper, multi-directional rubber outsole and protective toe bumper.
